Amakhosi were consequently awarded a 3-0 walkover (7-0 aggregate win) and will next face Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas in the competition.

"Things happened so quick and we are still going into the office to gather information and release proper detailed information," says Chiefs corporate and communications manager Vina Maphosa.

"In that information we will include the matters that relate to ticketing. Just also bearing in mind that the tickets that were torn already upon entry into the stadium is difficult to repay, but we will get the advice and we will spread the message accordingly."

Maphosa adds that Volcan's no-show has hit the club hard financially.

"We scheduled to stay here until this Sunday morning and were supposed to check out at the hotel," he says.

"The costs were humongous but at this stage I cannot give the estimates. But I can confirm that it's huge costs that are incurred in this situation."
