Borussia Dortmund 2-3 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich secured the bragging rights in Der Klassiker after defeating Borussia Dortmund 3-2 on Saturday night.

The night belonged to former Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski who bagged brace after Kingsley Coman also netted for the visitors.

Julian Brandt and Erling Haaland found the back of the net for the visitors, but their effort failed to get the job done as Bayern opened a four-point lead over Dortmund at the top of the stanindgs.

Bayer Leverkusen 7-1 Greuther Furth

Bayer Leverkusen crushed the winless Greuther Furth 7-1 in the Bundesliga on Saturday to keep abreast with the pace-setters.

Patrik Schick bagged four strikes in the second half while Amine Adli opened proceedings, Edmond Tapsoba and fullback Piero Hincapie added to Furth’s woes.

The visiting outfit had Jeremy Dudziak getting their consolation which came in the middle of the first half, as their run for a league win continues.

TSG Hoffenheim 3-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

TSG Hoffenheim made it back-to-back wins after seeing off Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2 to make further in-roads to the top-four bracket.

It was the visitors that drew first blood through Rafael Borre, but quick strikes within minutes from Dennis Geiger and Georginio Rutter had Hoffenheim ahead.

Malian international Diadie Samassekou gave the host a third near the end of the match before Goncalo Paciencia came up with Frankfurt’s second therefore it finished.

FC Augsburg 2-3 VfL Bochum

VfL Bochum continued their upwards surge following a 3-2 victory out at the WWK Arena against relegation-threatened FC Augsburg.

Mainz 05 returned to winning ways at the expense of Vfl Wolfsburg with a 3-0 thumping at the MEWA Arena to solidify their top-half sitting.

Goals inside the first five minutes from Jonathan Burkardt and Anton Stach had the host off the mark perfectly before an own-goal at the death from Maxence Lacroix rounded off matters.

It is back-to-back losses for Wolfsburg following last weekend’s set-back at home to second-place Borussia Dortmund.

Arminia Bielefeld 1-1 FC Koln

Arminia Bielefeld failed to ease their relegation troubles with a 1-1 draw against FC Koln at the Bielefelder Alm.

Koln were off the mark courtesy of Salih Ozcan, but the host recovered in the second period and levelled through substitute Bryan Lasme.
