Bayern star in hot water over R2.8m Merc

Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman has landed in hot water once again for driving his G-Class Mercedes to the club's training ground this week.

In April last year, Coman received a R1-million fine for the same transgression when he rocked up to the Säbener Strasse facilities in a McLaren 570s Spider.

Bayern's club rules 'demand' all members of the squad use an Audi supplied by the company as one of the major sponsors who supply the squad with vehicles each season.

However, Coman, who's said to be aiming for a move away from the club during the off-season was pictured parking his G-Wagon outside of the training ground - which Sport Bild reports irked the club's hierarchy.

On the previous occasion, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner claimed the company vehicle supplied by the German automaker went in for repairs for a broken side-mirror.

Popular amongst the modern superstars

The G-63 Coman was spotted has become rather common amongst the biggest names in Europe this season with plenty of the Premier League's training grounds littered with the car valued at over R2.8-million.

But why is the AMG-powered vehicle so popular? The high-riding SUV is simply the most luxurious available on the market with a powerful range of petrol and diesel engine that ticks all the boxes for high-profile athletes it seems.

When jumping into one, you would have no idea that it was designed for off-roading due to the plush leather, brushed aluminum finishing.

Did you know?

Audi owns 8.3% shares in Bayern Munich.

Your thoughts, please?

Should Coman be punished further for his latest transgression?
