Pitso earns 'surprise' gift from wife

Pitso Mosimane earned a 'surprise' gift from his wife as the Mamelodi Sundowns coach celebrated his birthday with the rest of the squad in Rustenburg.

Mosimane turned 56 on Sunday away from his family as Sundowns continued their preparation for the resumption of the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season.

Tributes poured in on social media for the iconic manager who's developed a reputation as one of the finest tacticians in Africa since being succeeding Netherlands legend Johan Neeskens eight years ago.

And after thanking followers from Morocco to Mzansi for the widespread wishes on his special day, he revealed a special gift from his partner via his official Twitter account.

"A surprise cake from my wife. She delivered it without me knowing," he wrote as he shared an image slicing the cake with the words 'Happy Birthday Coach Pitso above it.

"[I'm] sharing this with the team and hotel staff! [I] enjoyed my special day with my other family."
