SA European star's new boots

Star Style

One of South Africa’s European stars, Tashreeq Matthews, has recently shown off his new Nike boots, adding to his already luxurious boot collection. Have a look!

What happened?

The tricky winger has been flying the South African flag high in Europe after he left Cape Town Spurs, who were formerly known as Ajax Cape Town in 2018. Matthews caught Mzansi’s attention when he moved to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the same year and soon become a Nike-sponsored athlete.

One of the privileges of being a representative of the clothing and boot manufacturers is the chance to wear their latest footgear. The star currently plays for Varbergs BoIS FC and their season is halfway to completion with the Swedish team laying 8th in the Allsvenskan.

The 20-year-old has four goals and four assists in 16 league games and will be looking to continue his fine form in his new Nike kicks. The latest version is likely to be a Nike Phantom GT2 adding to a wide range of Phantom collections

This long-standing relationship has led to a long list of boots being collected over the years that would make most people envious.

Matthew’s style?

When the Europe-based footballer is not showing defenders his Kasi Flava, he is often pictured wearing the sauciest outfits. The attacker lives a modest life and his outfit collection matches it as he is often pictured in just jeans and a t-shirt but he seamlessly makes each of them look stylish in its own way.

Did you know?

According to Transfermarkt, the 20-year-old is very versatile as he has played in five positions in his short career including centre-forward, both wings, attacking midfield and central mid.
