Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday officially launched their collaboration with South African street fashion brand Butan, revealing some snazzy garments in their new range.
The partnership brings together street and football style, giving Chiefs fans a variety of products to wear in their everyday activities while showing off their club allegiance.
“The ethos of the Butan brand is to celebrate South African culture, and Amakhosi’s cultural legacy is undeniable, transcending sport and having become a way of life,” reads a statement on the club’s website.
“The collection is a 5-piece capsule range which consists of a windbreaker anorak, a short sleeve t- shirt, a reversible bucket hat, socks and nylon shorts.”
Sporting the gear at the launch at Shesha store at The Zone @ Rosebank, where the items can now be purchased by the public, midfielder George Maluleka is excited to rock his new gear on the streets and is confident everyone will love the range once they see and feel it.

“I’m super excited, I’m sure everyone would agree once they see how beautiful it is; it’s amazing, very comfortable and stylish,” Maluleka told KickOff.com.
“Asked what his favourite item is, ‘Mido’ responded: “All of them. I don’t want to lie, I can’t single anything out because they’re all quality, even those socks.
“The socks feature the date of Kaizer Chiefs’ inception, which goes way back to 1975 obviously, and there’s a [number] 24 in honour of our chairman Kaizer Motaung.
“The shorts also goes way back, when you think of the old kits, which are very rare to find and it’s legendary, so it’s all quality and I love it.”
The full collection is available for online purchases at kcdigistore.com, as well as nationwide from retailers such as Shesha, Madaiza (Nelspruit), Hype (Durban), Street Cred (Bloemfontein), Sneakers Edition and Kaizer Chiefs Village Naturena store.
