Arsenal’s attacking trio took their on-field chemistry to the studio draped in the club’s new tailored suits designed by Paris-based fashion house Lanvin, and opened up about personal style, grooming and fashion.
On the topic of grooming, Mesut Özil was not shy to admit he goes the extra mile to make sure he is always looking on point.
“I bring my own grooming kit to the game... moisturiser, gel and shampoo – I like to take care of myself… Football players like to take care of themselves and pay attention to the way they dress,” explained the German midfielder.
David Beckham is considered the archetypal fashion-conscious modern day footballer and has influenced a new generation of professional players to follow suit.
French striker Olivier Giroud enthused about the Englishman’s influence on his style choices. “David Beckham is a top man. I love the guy and what he can show in terms of style as well. He’s really classy, an icon,” he enthused.
