A former Leicester City player is believed to be the richest baller in the world with a net worth that is 40 times as much as Cristiano Ronaldo's.
Forbes recently revealed in their financial report that the Portuguese forward is the biggest earner after picking up an eye-watering $125 million (R1.9 billion) to take his net worth to $500 million (R7.8 billion). This pales in comparison to Maritimo star Faiq Bolkiah's reported value.
According to GiveMeSport, the 23-year-old is worth $20 billion (R312 billion) as he is believed to be one of the heirs to the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah's fortune.

His dad is Jefri Bolkiah who is also part of the royal family and is said to own more than 2000 cars at one point, including the most exclusive rides such as Bentleys, Ferraris and Rolls-Royces. It is expected that the Maritimo player will inherit those rides in the future.
Even though Faiq did not need to pursue any career as he could live a lavish life without lifting a finger but chose to follow his dreams of becoming a footballer.
In his youth career, he played for many Premier Leagues including Southampton, Chelsea, Reading and Arsenal but achieved his first professional contract at Leicester where he got his first professional contract in March 2016.
However, due to a lack of first-team action, he decided to leave the Foxes after failing to break into the first team and joined the Portuguese club instead. He is also the captain of the Brunei national side, despite only playing six times for them, according to The Sun.
