Community

Aaron Mokoena has teamed up with a local-based company Ivati to launch his own limited edition purified drinking water. Take a look!

What Happened?

Mbazo is one of the biggest names in South Africa football history after his lengthy career that saw him play for KRC Genk, Blackburn Rovers and Portsmouth while he also captained the national team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Due to being a household figure, many companies would want to collaborate and work with the retired footballer. This time was Ivati, who announced on their Facebook page in November that they are launching a collab with the 41-year-old on Tuesday.

“We are honoured to announce our partnership with Aaron Mbazo Mokoena.” the post read.

“Aaron Mokoena is currently the assistant coach for Cape Town City Football Club and the most capped player in South African history."

“Introducing the new Aaron "Mbazo" Mokoena limited edition IVATI purified sport water.”

Who is Ivati?

Ivati is a water solution company that provides filtered water ice cubes, purified drinking water and more. However, what makes the brand unique is its emphasis on the importance of providing quality products.

“We strive to be the best in serving our customers,” the action statement read on the brand's website.

“Our goal is to supply our partners with the best possible products at the best prices. We are dedicated to excellent services and maintaining great and positive relationships."

“The company employs six dedicated members who are responsible for daily operations including production, packaging, delivery, cleaning of our premises etc."

What else is Mokoena recently up to?

A few weeks ago, Mbazo linked up with Orlando Pirates legend Lucky Lekgwathi on his birthday as the legendary centre backs gave us a throwback to a time when they were the leaders in their respective teams and among the best defenders in the country.

Mokoena also owns a football academy that he regularly advertises on Instagram where youngsters from SA get the chance to work with the veteran.

Did you know?

According to local media, former SA U20 coach Thabo Senong convinced Mokoena to pursue a coaching career.

Your thoughts, please?

What do you think of the collab?
