France 2-0 Austria

France ended their four-game winless run with a 2-0 victory over Austria in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday night.

Kylian Mbappe got the opening goal for the home side 10 minutes into the second half with a wonderful individual goal that ended with a powerful finish.

Olivier Giroud doubled the world champions' lead on 56 minutes, taking his tally to 49 goals for the national side.

It was also France's first win of the campaign, which took them up to third spot in Group one.

Belgium 2-1 Wales

Belgium resumed Nations League action with a 2-1 victory over Wales on Thursday evening.

The Belgian Red Devils opened the scoring in the 10th minute, with Kevin de Bruyne firing past Wayne Hennessey after being set up by Michy Batshuayi.

The lead was doubled eight minutes before the halftime break as Batshuayi added his name to the scoresheet, with De Bruyne the provider this time around.

Keifer Moore's 50th minute strike for the Welsh proved to be a consolation, as the Red Devils did well to hold on for the win.

Croatia 2-1 Denmark

Croatia bagged a third straight victory in Group one after edging past Denmark on Thursday night.

Borna Sosa and Lovro Majer were on target for the hosts and cancelled out Christian Eriksen's impressive strike for the Danes.

The win sees Croatia leapfrog Denmark into top spot ahead of their encounter with Austria on Sunday.

Poland 0-2 Netherlands

The Netherlands extended their unbeaten record in Group three after defeating Poland 2-0 at Stadion Narodowy.

The visitors got the breakthrough on 13 minutes when Cody Gakpo found the back of the net, with Denzel Dumfries picking up the assist.

Louis Van Gaal's men doubled their lead in the 60th minute, after substitute Steven Bergwijn fired past Wojciech Szczesny.

While the Dutch walked away with the points, they did suffer two injuries on the night as Memphis Depay and Teun Koopmeiners were unable to finish the clash.
