Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has now revealed how he would have dealt with the now-infamous fight involving Bayern Munich and Senegal superstar Sadio Mane.

The former Liverpool star's punch-up with Leroy Sane last week still has many talking, with Pep Guardiola and Thomas Tuchel among those who have offered their opinion on the situation.

While it was initially thought that Mane wanted to leave the Allianz Arena after the fight, it has since been reported that the Senegal international wants to stay in Munich and turn his underwhelming first season in the Bundesliga around.

Tuchel also insisted in a recent press conference that the matter had been put to bed and signalled this by bringing the African superstar back into the matchday squad for Bayern's 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Wenger has now weighed on the incident, and revealed the steps he would taken to sort out the issue.

"There is a rift in the team and the management inside the club has to sort it out," he said during a beIN SPORTS broadcast, per the Daily Mail.

"The only way to sort this problem out is communication.

"You have to create the trust and the communication inside the dressing room.

"Most of the time when you have this problem with two players, you take them into the office and you explain to them that 'we cannot be successful if the players inside the team do not co-operate well together'.

"That does not mean you have to love each other. But it means that the superior interest of the team is over the personal conflict of the players."

Interestingly, on Wednesday night, Mane and Sane seemingly shared an awkward exchange when the former Southampton forward was substituted on for the Germany international, with the Senegalese holding both his hands up for a double high-five on the touchline but the former Manchester City winger opting to only give him one hand to the side as he made his way to the bench.
