One of them is Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, who currently has a value of €90 million (R1.5 billion), according to Transfermarkt.
Since moving to the Red Devils, the Portugal international has seen his value increase by a third due to an impressive first 20 months at Old Trafford, during which he has contributed to 70 goals in 85 matches for United.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is also among the highest valued players in the tournament with a market worth of €100 million (R1.6 billion).
The Egyptian forward recently joined an elite group of players who have scored 100 goals or more in the Premier League, with his feat being achieved in 149 games.
Messi's new teammate Kylian Mbappe, meanwhile, was widely linked with a move to Real Madrid in the latest transfer window, but Paris Saint-Germain reportedly rejected multiple bids from the Spaniards for the forward, according to The Athletic.
Per Transfermarkt, the French forward has a market value of €160 million (R2.7 billion) after a successful 2020/21 season, during which the 22-year-old scored 42 goals and created 11 assists in 47 matches for PSG.
