The Evening Standard claims that the 26-year-old had a fallout with manager Thomas Tuchel after they had an argument during a private meeting about the way in which the player was being utilised as well as his lack of game time.

Werner joined Chelsea for €53 million (R905 million) in 2020 and he now departs having made 89 appearances and contributed 23 goals and 21 assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.
