Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the Crown Prosecution Services came to a decision that the 21-year-old will not face any criminal proceedings for the charges.
However, the forward will not be able to return to training until United conclude an investigation of their own.

"Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped," the statement read, as per the club's website.
"The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete."
