Al Ittihad have now reportedly made a R5.2 billion bid to land Mohamed Salah's services.

A Saudi club has now reportedly offered a world-record transfer fee of £215 million (R5.2 billion) in a bid to secure an African superstar's services.

Al Ittihad have launched a new bid of £170 million (R4.1 billion), plus add-ons that would see the fee reach £215 million, to tempt Liverpool into selling forward Mohamed Salah, according to The Sun.

Saudi representatives are said to have flown in to London in one last attempt to land the Egyptian before the Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on Thursday.

The news outlet further reports that Salah has been tempted by their offer of £2.45 million (R59 million) a week, a large percentage of shirt sales, a £55 000 (R1.3 million) win bonus, and ambassadorial roles for at least three major Saudi companies during the duration of his stay with them.

Ittihad are said to be determined to land the Egypt forward, and should this attempt fail, it is believed they will try to sign him again in January.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, has insisted that Salah remains committed to the Reds.

"Mo is super committed, really in training fully there. And in the leadership meetings this week he was fully in," the manager said.
