Chelsea have reportedly joined their Premier League rivals in the race to sign a Serie A star, who said to be worth €100million.

Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remains hot property in Europe after helping Napoli win their first Serie A title since 1990 last season.

The Georgian finished the last campaign with 14 goals and 17 assists across all competitions, and has already got four goals and five assists this term for the Naples side.

ESPN have reported that the Blues have now joined a host of clubs who are tracking the winger in the Serie A.

European champions Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Newcastle United are apparently among the teams interested in signing the 22-year-old winger.

Napoli, however, are in a strong position as they are in no rush to accept any off for Kvaratskhelia, whose current contract with the club only expires in 2027.

ESPN added that Napoli do value the Serie A winner upwards of €100 million, which would be a club record sale if they were to sell the player.

Napoli also recently shut down claims of Kvaratskhelia signing another deal in the near future.

"Some media continue to tell, having the footballer's agents as their only source, of alleged negotiations in progress for the renewal of Kvaratskhelia. It's bulls***,' Napoli wrote on X.

"No one from Napoli has ever talked about the possible renewal of the player (whose contract expires in 4 years). Neither Mauro Meluso, nor Maurizio Micheli, nor Aurelio de Laurentiis, nor Andrea Chiavelli did it."
