Spain 3-3 Brazil

Five-time World champions Brazil came from behind twice to hold Spain to a entertaining 3-3 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu,

The Selecao kept the bulk of the starters from the win over England, with the match-winner Endrick on the bench, whilst Spain presented the tried and tested like Rodri, Alvaro Morata, Dani Carvajal, Unai Simon, Marc Cucurella.

La Roja hit the front on 12 minutes after a foul in the area resulted in a penalty and allowed Manchester City’s Rodri Hernandez to step up and convert.

Brazil were utterly on the ropes and conceded yet again as Dani Olmo nestled in from a delivery supplied by FC Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.

However, a fight back were presented by the South Americans after Real Madrid’s Rodrygo finished off from close-range just before the interval.

With the contest tense inside the final stages, the Selecao clawed level as substitute teen sensation Endrick grabbed hold off possession to get the better of Unai Simon with a powerful volley.

There was lots of drama in the last couple of minutes, with La Roja restoring the lead from another spot-kick by Rodri before Carvajal committed a clumsy foul in the dying minute to gave away a penalty, which Lucas Paqueta executed to seal the draw.

England 2-2 Belgium

England came from behind in the dying stages to seal a 2-2 draw against Belgium in an International friendly on Tuesday evening.

After the loss to Brazil, the Three Lions as expected changes things up and preferred Ivan Toney to lead the line though star man Jude Bellingham remained in the eleven.

The Red Devils, who are somewhat in a rebuilding phase, drew the first blood when Youri Tielemans pounced on an Amadou Onana assist to tuck past Jordan Pickford.

England did even up the contest just after falling and it came through a spot-kick from the returning centre-forward Toney, but Tielemans struck again late on from Romelu Lukaku’s assist.

With yet another loss on the cards, Bellingham rescued matters right at the death courtesy of a Bellingham who finished off James Maddison’s assist.

Germany 2-1 Netherlands

Germany bounced back from an early set-back to see off the Netherlands 2-1 on Tuesday evening.

Die Mannschaft who have had a turbulent spell of late from successive group exits at the World Cup lined-out with Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Florian Wirtz and Ilkay Gundogan.

Having impressively dispatched France on Friday, the host got the worst possible start as Joey Veerman broke the deadlock on just four minutes played.

Die Mannschaft pulled level seven minutes apart when Maximilian Mittelstadt picked up a cleverly angled delivery from Musiala and capitalised.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side took full control of the clash and got the winner five minutes from time through a smart finish from Niclas Fullkrug, thus left the Red Devils reeling to defeat.

Slovenia 2-0 Portugal

Portugal’s 11-match winning run in all competitions were brought to an end following a 2-0 defeat against Slovenia in Ljubljana.

Roberto Martinez’s men looked to maintain their winning run of form and put out a strong line-up with Cristiano Ronaldo up top as Joao Cancelo, Otavio, Vitinha and Joao Felix started too.

The Portuguese struggled to find gear for the duration of the match and saw the host go ahead late in through Adam Gnezda Cerin.

Martinez’s men were still on the back-foot and were breached again as Timi Max Elsnik added a second in the last ten minutes to leave the 2016 European champions packing.

Senegal 1-0 Benin

A second-half penalty from captain Sadio Mane steered Senegal to a 1-0 victory over Benin in Amiens.

The Teranga Lions featured star man and captain Sadio Mane who were flanked in the final third by Hamid Diallo and Boulaye Dia with Idrissa Gueye and Kalidou Koulibaly in the fray too.

Benin missed a golden chance to take the lead on ten minutes albeit from the penalty spot through French-based Steve Mounie, but he was unable to profit.

In the second half, the Teranga Lions were given a spot kick of their own and made it count as Mane converted following a coming-together in offensive third.
