Yanga will be also joined in the last eight by fellow Tanzanian top-flight side Simba SC who have been drawn against defending champions Al Ahly.

According to Daily News, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has offered both Yanga and Simba incentives the further the teams go in the tournament.

“Even President Samia Suluhu Hassan is ready to support these teams to reach far in the champions league…she has doubled her goal motivation package from 5m/- to 10m/-," Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports, Dr Damas Ndumbaro said as per Daily News.

“She wants these teams to do well and reach in the finals…in order to achieve this, we should all support our envoys."

The first leg between Yanga and Sundowns will take place at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, 30 March.
