Following his latest European snub, a Real Madrid star has now reportedly made his final decision regarding representing an African giant at international level.

After a lengthy pursuit, it is now being reported that Los Blancos' Brahim Diaz has now decided to represent Morocco over Spain, as per Marca.

It is believed the chase for the Spanish-born attacking midfielder began prior to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, when then-manager Atlas Lions boss Herve Renard made serious attempts to convince Diaz to join the team ahead of the tournament in Russia.

Morocco made a similar play ahead of the 2022 edition in Qatar, but were again rejected by the former AC Milan star, who was adamant he would go on to represent Spain, whom he has represented once before at senior level, in a friendly against Lithuania in 2021, during which he scored too.

However, the player has reportedly finally given up on his dream to represent his country of birth after he was snubbed yet again by the Spanish national team for the upcoming international break.

Morocco, who rank first in Africa, are set to face Angola and Mauritania later this month, with Diaz's name now expected to be on the roster for the first time.
