A former Al Ahly star has made some bombshell claims about Pitso Mosimane, accusing the South African coach of belittling several players during his stint with the Egyptian giants.
Mosimane spent almost two seasons with Al Ahly, helping the side win six trophies in 99 matches, including two CAF Champions League titles.

Although things on the pitch seemed to be going well, there were some suggestions of behind-the-scenes issues at the time, with a number of pundits and former players criticising the South African tactician, who would eventually leave the club by mutual consent.
While his time in Cairo was a success in terms of results and trophies, it appears his relationship with certain players was difficult, and a few of them have spoken about this since his departure from the club in 2022.
The latest to do so is attacking midfielder Nasser Maher, who has seemingly blamed Mosimane for his spell at Al Ahly not working out after he graduated from the side's academy.
"When I returned to Al Ahly after my loan spell at Smouha ended, I was the best playmaker in Egypt by numbers," Maher, who joined Zamalek from Modern Future FC at the end of January, stated, according to KingFut.
"However, to my surprise, I wasn't regularly featured in the starting line-up, due to a decision by Pitso Mosimane, without a clear reason.
"I suffered a lot at Al Ahly and I didn't get enough opportunities. I wanted to showcase my abilities well. This didn't happen due to the poor treatment from some former Al Ahly coaches.
"Pitso Mosimane is one of the coaches who treated me very poorly. He deliberately belittled the players and got into many problems with several players at Al Ahly, including Walid Soliman.
"... Moving to Zamalek is an important step in my football career. I used to play alongside big stars at Al Ahly. Now I’m playing in a club filled with legends, including Abdallah El-Said, Shikabala, and Mohamed Abdelshafy.
"When Hossam Hassan came to Modern Future before leaving to coach the Egyptian national team, I told him: 'I will leave for Zamalek after a few days.' He did not object and said to me, 'I wished you stayed with me, but I won't stand in your way.'
"Zamalek fans impress me. My best matches were against Zamalek due to the presence of the fans. They are very passionate in the stands, and their way of cheering is different.
"Al Ahly fans are respectful, and most of them believed in my abilities. I've only seen love from them, and they are the best fans in Africa and the Arab world."
