World football organising body FIFA has reportedly removed the Cameroon national team's new manager from the side's profile on their official website.

A coach who was controversially appointed by one of Africa's biggest teams recently now appears to have been removed by FIFA on their official website.

The turmoil in Cameroonian football continues, with their recent appointment of head coach Marc Brys having caused a huge stir in the country's football governing body, the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

It all started last month, when the Cameroonian government announced Brys as Rigobert Song's replacement on national television without consulting FECAFOOT.

This incensed the Samuel Eto'o-led organisation, who promptly slammed the decision, complaining that they were not made aware of the appointment, in addition to the fact their preferred list of managerial candidates was completely ignored.

Manager Marc Brys' appointment as Cameroon national team coach remains under scrutiny.

Brys has since said he is aware of the controversy surrounding his appointment, and that he is willing to meet with FECAFOOT to discuss the matter further if necessary.

Now, though, the plot looks to be thickening as Brys was added as the national team head coach on Cameroon's page on the FIFA website earlier this week, according to local outlet CamFoot.

However, less than 24 hours later, the 61-year-old tactician's name was removed and is no longer listed under Cameroon's profile as is the case for other countries such as South Africa, who have Hugo Broos officially listed as the national team head coach.

With the matter still ongoing, the move seems to suggest that Brys is not recognised by FIFA, despite confirmation that he has signed the contract to become Cameroon's manager.

This also comes after speculation arose suggesting that the African country could be hit with a ban for government interference in football matters.
