A club chief has insisted his side are not scared of Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of their CAF Champions League quarter-final tie.

The only thing standing between Young Africans (Yanga) SC and a place in the semi-finals are Rulani Mokwena and his players, who will be looking for continental gold after finishing top of group A.

The Tanzanian side, meanwhile, finished second in group D, behind Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

In a draw to find out who would go head-to-head in the knockout rounds of the continental tournament, it was determined that Yanga would take on Masandawana in a two-legged encounter.

The club's CEO Andrew Mtine, however, expressed confidence in his team's ability to knock the reigning African Football League champions out of the CAF CL.

"We must have the self-belief that we can advance and to realise that, the players have to deliver 100% for the sake of the team," he told MwanaSpoti per GOAL.

"The fans must cheer the team and give us all the necessary support. We respect Sundowns because they are a big and successful team, but we are not scared of them. It will be a big game and we are ready for anything."

The sides will clash in the first leg of the tie on 29 March with the second leg scheduled for 05 April.
