There is still no sign of sunshine for Khama Billiat as Yadah slipped to the bottom of the Castle Lager Premier League after yet another defeat.

The Miracle Boys were defeated 2-1 by a rampant Simba Bhoro side at Heart Stadium on Saturday thanks to goals from Tymon Machope and Walter Musona, while Blessed Ndereki pulled one back for Yadah.

Big-name signing Billiat and former SuperSport United attacker Evans Rusike were both ineffective in the centre and Yadah suffered a third defeat in their first five matches – although Rusike saw two of his shots narrowly miss the target in the first half.

These results have seen Yadah sink to the foot of the Castle Lager Premier League as the only team in the division yet to collect a single victory.

Meanwhile, at the top of the table, Highlanders boast a nearly perfect record with four wins and a draw from their first five league matches.

The deteriorating situation at Yadah comes as a major surprise to many who had expected the side would put up a decent challenge in the league following the investment made on Billiat’s big-money move before the start of the season.

Yadah reportedly forked out monies in the region of $20 000 (+/-R376 588) for the highly-rated player, with a monthly salary of $5000 (+/-R94 147) reportedly offered to the ex-Kaizer Chiefs fan-favourit.

However, with just five matches played, it’s still early days for Billiat and Co.

It will be worth following how the club intends to address this shocking decline.
