Royal AM’s response in their ongoing saga against Samir Nurkovic has infuriated the Serbian striker’s legal representative who has labelled the DStv Premiership club as liars.
Royal AM issued a statement claiming that 'the delay finalisation in this matter has been occasioned by the refusal by Mr Nurkovic and FIFA to have an expedited procedure. Also, the refusal by Mr Nurkovic to pay his share of the advanced costs'.

The club claims that Nurkovic has now expressed his desire to have the matter expeditiously which they are in agreement with while the CAS appeal procedure remains pending.
"Royal AM are just being liars in their latest statement just like they also lied that the transfer ban has been uplifted," says Davor Lazic, who represents Nurkovic talking to KickOff.com from Croatia.
Nurkovic is now in the books of TS Galaxy where he has delivered five goals in 13 appearances after not playing for over a year.
"The transfer ban was never lifted like they claimed it had been in the statement that they realised in July 2023.
"The beauty about this is that every club served with a transfer ban is in the public domain as it shows on the FIFA website.
"They can fool others, but they cannot fool everyone, and proof is in the FIFA transfer ban.
"Why would my client, Samir, pay any advanced costs for the appellant’s appeal at CAS?
"Samir is not going to pay anything regardless of what they can claim and how they want to interpret the rules.
"If all the relevant costs are not paid the appeal will be withdrawn and the decision from FIFA remains standing like it is now.
"They had the second deadline in December, but CAS still didn’t receive the costs of appealing.
"How are they claiming they want this done expeditiously when they are using their resources and energy in appealing at CAS?
"There is no such a thing as expeditious proceedings here because FIFA made a ruling, and they are appealing so this is simply not true.
"They are liars and doing harm to their reputation.
"Royal AM cannot fool everyone with their lies.

"With these false statements in the media that are seeking to mislead the public there will be no other proceeding than to address all of this with CAS.
"These press statements add no value to the case but just exposes their tainted reputation," details Lazic.
