Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Enocent Mkhabela has sensationally opened a case alleging fraud against Tshakuma Tsha Madzhivhandila FC.

Mkhabela opened a case at the Mkhuhlu Police Station in Nelspruit claiming TTM forged the signature claimed to be his that appears in a termination letter between the club and himself.

The 33-year-old is now claiming that the club allegedly forged his signature to make it seem as if there was an agreement reached on a settlement fee.

"There was a twist between me and TTM, they wanted me to take a pay cut, but I told them to first pay me all my outstanding monies," Mkhabela tells KickOff.

"All this happened this year, I was owed four months' worth of compensation when this happened.

"Today they will give you R1 000, the following month R6 000, some other time R12 000. Half of what you are supposed to earn. They will give it to you after two months, and from there on they will keep quiet.

"They are doing all this to confuse you so that you end up not knowing how many months they actually owe you.

"When the team moved to Bloemfontein I decided to come back home.

"The TTM manager called me and told me about a pay cut but I told him I will not accept a pay cut up until I receive my outstanding fees.

"I told him to never call me again about this but to talk to both my representatives which is Salter [Taelo Calvin Motloung] and my lawyer.

"I told him he must only call me if they want me to return the club's uniform. Then boom, they sent me a clearance, which I forwarded to Motloung and my lawyer.

"I was surprised when the lawyer called to inform me TTM was claiming I had signed a termination letter in January.

"But the lawyer told me not to worry because he could see the signature on the resignation letter was forged, they even photocopied the dots where a person is supposed to sign.

"A handwriting expert was found so he could examine the signature, and the expert proved the signature was forged.

"After that, they told me what TTM did is considered as fraud and in South Africa, it's a crime to forge a signature.

"I went to the Mkhuhlu police station and opened a case, then a few days later an investigator visited me, he asked me questions, he followed up and asked about my relationship is with the club.

"Yesterday I was sent a case number [which KickOff is in possession of] which I forwarded to my lawyers.

"These people have ruined my life, I had to take my children out of school due to their inconsistency in paying my salary.

"I have signed a two-year plus an additional option to renew the deal with TTM. Now it's left with one year and four months."

Contacted for his side of the story, TTM manager Azwihangisi Phasha referred all questions to the club's lawyer who identified himself as Kabelo Mashego.

"Look there was a case where the player filed regarding unpaid salaries and damages claim that he wants to be paid the full value of his contract," Mashego said.

"Already there are some issues regarding that kind of claim, that is something we are dealing with we have filed papers with the PSL, and we can confirm that these kinds of things are not necessarily public knowledge.

"But we can confirm that we did defend this case and in defending this case, we've provided documentation and proof to the effect that this claim is baseless, and that this claims itself cannot stand before the DRC.

"It would appear that he is now claiming that there's been this perceived forgery.

"But we have not received a word or any sort of confirmation from any police department or case number."
