Sinky Mnisi has responded to reports around a possible ‘resignation’ as CEO of Motsepe Foundation Championship side Marumo Gallants.

Mnisi was unveiled as Gallants CEO in August and after two months, multiple reporters surfaced on Wednesday claiming the former Highlands Park co-owner has left the Championship outfit.

Speaking on the MSW, Mnisi was reluctant to confirm his departure, only stating that he is 'at home'.

"I wouldn’t say I resigned, But I am home, I can confirm that I am home. Let’s wait for the club to release a statement. All I can confirm is am home,” Mnisi said.

"What I would like to put on record is that the kings, in any team, when I talk about a soccer team, are the players. Those are the king makers, that is my philosophy then the coaches then the rest of us.

"By that I mean I mean if you are in a soccer the most important component in the team are the soccer players, they are the king makers, then come the coaches, those are the people I need to make sure that the are in a good space. That’s me Sinky Mnisi, I don’t know how other.

"Let’s wait for the club to release statement, I can confirm that I am at home enjoying time with my family.

Asked how he would describe his two months with Gallants, Mnisi responded: "In a nutshell, I don’t know whether I should say it’s a journey that was worth taking or whether I should say from the fire into the frying pan, or whether I should say it was a very good journey.

"But I will be in a better space to clear the air once the [Marumo Gallants] chairman has given a clear indication to an official statement."
