Mamelodi Sundowns have been backed to continue dominating the DStv Premiership for years to come by former Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs defender David Kannemeyer.
The Brazilians stormed to a sixth consecutive league title almost unopposed with a 16-point gap at the summit of the log table, with Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United in second and third position.

Kannemeyer, who donned the gold of Kaizer Chiefs from 2001 to 2004 before making the switch to Chloorkop where he spent four years with Sundowns, believes Rulani Mokwena's charges are just a cut above the rest.
"[Mamelodi] Sundowns will win the league for probably the next few years. I said that at the start of this season and I'm still saying it now," Kannemeyer told KickOff.
"They've set a really good foundation in terms of continuity and stars. Even while I as there, there was a very clear plan in recruitment and into players that fit the way they want to play. They’ve been doing that for the last ten years or so.
The league champions also dominated Sunday night's PSL awards ceremony with as many as six player scooping accolades including midfielder Teboho Mokoena who was voted as the Player of the Season while head coach Rulani Mokwena also walked away with the Coach of the Season award.
