Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the signing of Defender Zuko Mdunyelwa on a long term deal from Chippa United.

The 24-year-old had joined The Chili Boys on a free transfer from Cape Town City and has racked up 14 appearances in the 23/24 campaign.

Mdunyelwa has been a key figure in the Morgan Mammila’s Chippa United side, missing just two matches since the start of the season.

The industrious right-back is likely to be sent on loan, with competition for places stiff at Sundowns, or could serve as back-up for Khuliso Mudau and Thapelo Morena in a busy schedule.

Mdunyelwa can only be registered as a Mamelodi Sundowns player once the January transfer window opens.
