Kaizer Chiefs legend Rudolf Gadner Seale says he has accepted that the club will never get back to what it used to be.
Seale applauds the club for sticking with Cavin Johnson until the end of the 2023/24 Premiership Season as he feels a change of coaches mid-season might have caused more harm to the Soweto giants.

Although Amakhosi are still on the lookout for a long-term coach, for now, they've decided not to rush and instead give Johnson more chance.
The Glamour Boys have shown signs of improvement under Johnson who took over from Molefi Ntseki at the beginning of the season.
"It wasn't gonna make sense because since Cavin took over from Molefi Ntseki the results are not so bad," Seale tells KickOff.
"But at the same time, the results were not so good for the Kaizer Chiefs standard, which I doubt will ever be reached. But honestly there's been some improvement, so for them to go and look for another coach now would be like starting from the beginning again, which is not good for any football team.
"Because I don't think there will ever be a coach who will manage to get Kaizer Chiefs back to where it was, Chiefs must just accept whatever achievement they get at the moment," the legend added.

"I don't think Chiefs can win five trophies in a season again like they used to do in the past, the fields are equal these days. These days not every player dreams of playing for Kaizer Chiefs like it used to be during our time.
"As long as people are still opting to stay at Stellenbosch FC, let alone Mamelodi Sundowns, I don't think Chiefs will be able to win like four or five trophies again in a season. Let's just be happy for whatever trophy we might get.
"This is the time everybody should be asking themselves if they are doing their bit to make the club great again. And why should fingers be pointed at coaches and not at the players who could be the cause of everything? I love Kaizer Chiefs, but to be honest, those glory days are a thing of the past."
