Former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United defender Morgan Gould has opened up on his new role as second assistant coach in Brandon Truter's Sekhukhune United.
Babina Noko confirmed that Gould has been promoted to second first team assistant coach, to work alongside head coach Brandon Truter and assistant coach McDonald Makhubedu.
The 2010 PSL Footballer of the Season called time on his professional playing career after a stint with Sekhukhune United in 2021.
"I’ve now been tasked to be second assistant, which is a very big jump and I’m very excited," Gould told the club's media.

Prior to his promotion, Gould had been serving as the club’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team head coach.
"The DDC has taught that you need to be patient, you need to be understanding, you need to bring everyone in together. That position really taught how to just work with other people," added Gould.
"My objective is just to grow, to also introduce new players coming in from the junior ranks and also introduce players that are coming from different areas.
"For me, [my role] is to help the coach reach his mandate and make the Sekhukhune nation very proud and happy to have a former player be part of their technical staff."
After a draw against AmaZulu and two consecutive wins against Marumo Gallants and Kaizer Chiefs respectively, Truter’s charges are in position 13 on the log table and Truter is yet to taste defeat as the club’s head coach.
The side will be hoping to keep the momentum when they lock horns against Stellenbosch on Saturday.
