However, while Chiefs have gone on to play as many as seven games since Fleurs was signed, the 23-year-old is to feature.
Fleurs last played competitive football a year ago when he put in a 90-minute shift against Moroka Swallows on January 28, 2023.
By the time Chiefs return to action on February 13, a year will have passed since Fleurs was last in action.
It will also be more than three months since Fleurs signed for AmaKhosi giving him further motivation in the drive get back to action.
Fleurs didn’t feature in any of SuperSport United’s last 13 games last season and was only on the bench once this term before leaving.
The former youth international has arrived at Chiefs faced with competition from Given Msimango, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Edmilson Dove, Njabulo Ngcobo, and Zitha Kwinika who all play in central defence.
