Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson has singled out his coaching staff after the side's third successive win in the DStv Premiership.

Amakhosi won their third game in a row for the first time this season courtesy of a stunning goal by Ngcobo just before the interval.

Johnson firstly credited the backroom staff at Chiefs for winning their first three games in a row.

"Firstly, I wanna show the people who makes Kaizer Chiefs, the people behind me a the people who really give a lot to Kaizer Chiefs, for us to have there in a row now is all up to these people," Johnson said on SuperSport TV.

"But in saying that I wanna wish my manager a speedy recovery, he was involved in an accident on Thursday, he couldn't be with us today but we hope he's getting better."

The former SuperSport United head coach went on and admitted that they did not have a good game but they are slowly building their confidence with maximum points.

"To the game, not a good game, I thought we struggled a little bit. Yes, Kaitano came with a plan, almost caught us, I think it was 70 minutes, he got one over the line," he went on.

"But I thought in the first-half we should have scored, we had three or four very good chances, we didn't take them but this is football.

"We're building, one at a time and this is number three, we've still got more to go and we'll prepare for the next game."

Johnson also opened up on Ngcobo and revealed that they instructed him to stay high up the pitch after he was coming too deep to collect balls before he scored.

"First-half, we told him straight, 'You know what, the pockets are there, you're just coming too deep to get the ball, you have to get it a little bit deeper'," he said.

"And that's what happened, he scored the goal, good luck to him, he's improving, I'm happy for him," he added.
