Stellenbosch extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches in the DStv Premiership with a 3-0 win over Royal AM on Saturday afternoon.
Iqraam Rayners lined up in the Stellies attack just days after starting for Bafana Bafana against Algeria, while goalkeeper Sage Stephens earned a recalled after being rested in the Nedbank Cup before the international break.
The visitors, meanwhile, came into the clash on a high after securing a victory over Stellies' provincial rivals Cape Town City before the break, boosting their top eight ambitions.
After a quiet opening in the heat, Steve Barker's charges broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Devon Titus got on the end of a through-ball from Rayners and fired past Nyame from close range.
It's been a somewhat productive season for Titus, who has now scored five goals in the league to go with the two that he scored in the Nedbank Cup and a further two in the Carling Knockout.
The lead was doubled eight minutes before the halftime break, as Andre de Jong got his name on the score-sheet with a composed finish after getting beynd the Royal AM defence.
The home side carried that momentum into the second period as Rayners his name to score-sheet to go with an assist, with the Bafana striker now taking his tally to eight goals in the league.
John Maduka will be disappointed with the outcome in this clash especially after putting in a good performance in their last league outing, while Stellies move on up to second place.
