Bruce Bvuma's recent performances have put his name in the conversation a potential Bafana Bafana call-up during the next FIFA calendar break later this month.

The next FIFA calendar dates, since the successful AFCON finals campaign where Bafana reached the semi-finals, runs from March 18-26.

Through that week Hugo Broos will take his men to North Africa for friendly matches against Andorra and Algeria.

With Broos set to name his squad in the next couple of days, Bvuma could move forward in the queue to deputise for Ronwen Williams.

Bvuma was fortunate to find himself included in the AFCON preliminary squad after playing two games before being justifiably dropped with regular back-up options Ricardo Goss and Veli Mothwa preferred.

The 28-year-old has moved on to play eight games keeping an incredible seven clean sheets and conceding just once.

These performances could potentially push Bvuma ahead of Mothwa and possibly Goss.

Mothwa hasn’t played at AmaZulu since returning from the AFCON finals with Olwethu Mzimela being preferred choice.

Goss, the other reserve keeper who was at the AFCON finals has conceded thrice in the three games that he has played at SuperSport United where he has also not played in another two.

Bvuma could find himself counting his lucky stars by not only getting a call-up but going on to earn minutes with Williams being rested for one of the two games to lighten his game time load.
