Magesi FC striker Rhulani Manzini is very grateful to Clinton Larsen and the club chairman for making his dream of playing DStv Premiership again football a reality.

The Bushbuckridge-born center-forward last played top-tier football more than three seasons ago.

On Sunday, Manzini and his Magesi teammates confirmed their automatic promotion from the Motsepe Foundation Championship to the elite division.

Magesi's win over Milford FC saw them open an eight-point gap between the Limpopo-based side and second-placed University of Pretoria.

All teams are left with only two games to complete their season.

"When God says I need you in this location, you have to obey. It's a blessing for me to be here," Manzini tells KickOff.

"In January, I received a call from coach Clinton Larsen to come and help the club get back to the PSL and I obeyed.

"Remember I was at Venda Football Club, but in January God told me I must move to Polokwane, and I obeyed. So, I rejected the contract Venda FC had offered me.

"What helped me is that I don't make decisions based on money. Whatever I do, I consult with God first. God doesn't want me to be in a comfortable place.

"I had to leave everything behind in Venda, even a contract, and moved to Polokwane.

"The environment that coach Larsen created, the team that he built, the intensity of training, it's the same as the one that is used in the PSL.

"Larsen is a top but underrated coach. No disrespect to the NFD, but he deserves to coach in the top tier.

"Under him... Look, I only came here in January, but I have already scored three goals in eight matches.

"At Magesi, we are training the same way as we play our games. We have to give credit to the technical team and the coaches, our fitness is up there.

"My contract here ends in June, but I'm still fit enough to play in the  PSL again next season."
