While it may have been a disappointing weekend for Samir Nurkovic after TS Galaxy were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup, the Serbian striker has a bit of good news to celebrate, as his reported partner is set to compete for a major beauty crown in Europe. Here's a look!
The story
Affectionately known as 'Kokota Piano', the big centre-forward trophy drought in South Africa looks set to continue as Galaxy were dumped out of the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals by Chippa United this past weekend.
It is rather a disappointing end to his title hopes this term given the fact he has rediscovered his scoring form, as he netted nine time in 21 games in all competitions this term.

Nevertheless, it's not all doom and gloom for the 31-year-old, as things seem to be going admirably in his personal life. His reported girlfriend Bryoni Govender, who finished as the Miss SA 2023 runner-up, has now earned a sport at the 2024 Miss Supranational.
The esteemed pageant is set to take place on 6 July in Poland and Govender will be hoping to become only the second South African to win the competition after former Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane was named Miss Supranational in 2022.
According to Algoa FM, the pageant queen said: “I am incredibly excited and honoured to have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Miss Supranational competition. I have been working tirelessly to prepare myself both mentally and physically for the competition.
"These preparations have included intense training sessions to enhance my physical fitness, catwalk, poise and stage presence. I have also been working with top-notch trainers to improve my communication skills and develop a strong and impactful voice. I always say that the most important thing for me when preparing for any competition is to have a positive and healthy mindset and to have put in all the necessary work.
With the month of July being part of the off-season in the PSL, Nurkovic could be available to make the trip to Poland to support his partner, as the country is about an estimated hour-and-a-half-long flight away from the footballer's native of Serbia.
