Cape Town City fullback recently Lyle Lakay took several pairs of his stunning sneakers for some cleaning and his superb collections consist of Nike, Air Jordan, and Louis Vuitton kicks! Here's a look.

The story

Lakay is already known for being a sneakerhead as he often pops up rocking various silhouettes of the Jordan 1s and a range of the Nike Air Max.

His fans finally got to have a proper look at his collection after he took his shoes to SNEAKERFEDZ, a shoe-cleaning spot in Rondebosch, which also does repairs and customization. It also appears that the baller got his children's shoes cleaned up as well, with the shop revealing about 10 pairs of kicks.

It looks as though the left-back has five pairs of Jordan 1s, with a range of fresh colourways including green, blue, red, yellow, and grey. This specific shoe is extremely popular in the present day albeit it has always been a hit in cosmopolitan society. Originally a basketball kick, the Jordan 1s are adored far beyond the court, as footballers, musicians, and other famous people are often seen rocking them.

Lakay also has an appetite for the Nike Air Max and in the video, a red and white Air Max 1 can be spotted. The most valuable shoe in the 31-year-old's stylish collection is none other than his black LV Trainer. According to the brand's official online store, the design was created by legendary artist Virgil Abloh, who served as an artistic director at the company before his untimely death in 2021 due to cancer.

It is said that it takes seven hours to stitch the shoe and it is completed with a contrasting white rubber outsole, which is decorated with monogram flowers.

On the football side of things, Lakay has enjoyed regular game-time in the Mother City after being loaned out for the season by parent club Mamelodi Sundowns. He has made 19 appearances across all competitions and registered two assists.
