In the lead up to their huge CAF Champions League semi-final against Esperance, Mamelodi Sundowns players have been showcasing exactly why they are are called Bafana Ba Style. Here's a look at some of coldest fits by Downs players in recent weeks!

The story

There are some things that money can't buy and while many can afford the clothes they desire, not everyone can be charismatically stylish while wearing them.

What does seem to be true through, is that not many in the Chloorkop dressing room can be accused of lacking when it comes to style, with many of them boasting an unapparelled elegance in the wardrobe department.

Over recent weeks, we've seen the likes of Teboho Mokoena, Ronwen Williams, Grants Kekana, Aubrey Modiba, and Lebohang Moboe showcase some eye-catching outfits without breaking a sweat.

Whether football purists like it or not, fashion is now a big part of the game, as the days of just looking at what a player does in 90 minutes are a distant memory given the undeniable interest in what players are like off the pitch.

It is no surprise that Sundowns players are drip too hard though, as they are the most successful club of the modern era and they are some of the best-paid stars in South Africa.

Essentially, superstars need to look like superstars and the aforementioned players have seemingly gotten the memo given their faultless swag.

Many of them have also been featured by brands and fashion outlets like PUMA, adidas, and Nounouche magazine, which does speaks volumes.

In fact, Masandawana owner Patrice Motsepe recently made reference to the fact that players at his club have lush lives but it's important that they also make the right choices that will sustain them even beyond their playing careers.

“When I was president of Mamelodi Sundowns, I went to see the players train and I would see very expensive, Mercedes, BMWs, even Ferraris,” said Motsepe at a recent press conference in Angola, according to SoccerLaduma.

“It is fine to buy these wonderful things as long as you (also) take your money and invest it for the days when you don’t play."

One would assume that these players will head the call from their owner whilst not compromising the things that make them standout, like their personal style.
