Former Bafana Bafana star Thuso Phala has revealed that he had been pocketing a staggering R14 million during his time at SuperSport United. This is what KickOff readers had to say about it!
What's the story?
Well, the 37-year-old shared some descriptive details regarding his earnings at the Pretoria-based club form which he played between the years 2013 and 2019."My contract at SuperSport was worth R14 million for three years, incuding salaries and everything. Every year, there's a management fee and my agent got R1.2 million per year for taking me to SuperSport...and that was just for bringing me there, not for training me on the side or anything like that," said Phala. "I sign the contract and at the back of it is the management fee. Tim Sukazi [TS Galaxy owner] he is so transparent that he showed me what he was getting from this deal."
"Some agents don't show the players what they are getting from the deal," he added.

Meanwhile, the Facebook users also reacted to an opinion piece done by KO's own Lukhanyo Mtuta who argued that the inaugural African Football League was actually a flop, in his weekly "Wild Take" series.
Mtuta argued that despite tournament being a profitable exercise for the eight participating teams, "the competition was a watered-down version of the initial concept of the AFL."

"If Sundowns never won this it was going to be a different story...we may not be where we want to be but we are by far from were we were before.Journalists from South Africa cannot seperate work and personal, they are always there to Bad mouth Sundowns but even then they always receive chest pains," says Clement Potego Kutu.
"This type of competition was unsuccessful in Europe, but Africa took the initiative to organize it. As Africans we have to polish it and amend it. Let's put positive and constructive opinions of how we can organize it and make it a successful one instead of throwing all negatives and destructive opinions," says Ann Benade.
