Pitso Mosimane remains without a club since leaving Al Wahda in November.

With Lebohang Mokoena having recently revealed how Pitso Mosimane transformed Mamelodi Sundowns amid reports linking the the accomplished manager with Kaizer Chiefs, KickOff readers have now had their say on whether the former Al Wahda tactician could transform Amakhosi as well. Here's a look!

What's the story?

Speaking on the TK Solutions podcast, Mokoena said that Mosimane immediately focused on managing the dressing room when he first arrived at Chloorkop. The retired winger emphasised that Jingles wanted to get rid of all the disciplinary issues at the club and did not want players who go out at night and drank a lot.

Mokoena says Mosimane's approach led players being more "coachable" as a result.

Now with Chiefs having chopped and changed managers a rapid speed in recent season amid a nine-year trophy drought, some believe that the former Al Ahly boss would be the right man for the job, as he commands respect from the players. KO readers on Facebook have now weighed in on the topic:

"Even if he goes to Kaizer Chiefs, as long as they not gonna give him budget or access to get the players he wants onboard just like he did at Sundowns nothing will change," says Anthius Shimza Shibu Choshi.

"Does Pitso want to coach Chiefs or are people just thinking," says Tavhanyani Mainganye.

"Chiefs must go back to winning ways to reclaim their plastic fans who jumped ship to Sundowns," says Mandla Henriqué.

"Never Lebo , yes Downs had some challenges before Pitso and he contributed to their success. Mind you Downs won 3 concecutive league titles and played Champions League final before Pitso arrival. All in all is not like Pitso made Sundowns, says Mlungisi Zondi.

"Hunt nearly destroyed his dignity at Chiefs. He asked for R50m for players of his own and he was turned down. Pitso's budget will be even bigger," says Ayanda Pinqo Mhlope.

"Pitso must avoid teams like Kaizer Chiefs if he still wants to lift trophies in the future," says Mcebisi Menelisi.

"I don't know why people like to think Pitso can do what he did to Sundowns with Kaizer Chiefs," says Thamsanqa Alex Khala.

"Chiefs thought taking Masandawana top players, eg Mphahlele, Billiat, Castro, Dolly, etc would awake their team but they have failed dismally...so now they're going for coaches, I mean first it was Manqoba and now Pitso," says Isaiah Zaazman Mashiloane.

"Chiefs doesn't have Motsepe's open cheque book. Chiefs won't sign players and loan them out with a contract that says they are not going to play against them. Chiefs won't sign players and put them on the stands just to destabilize other opponents. Pitso won't cut it at Chiefs," says Sibusiso Mpuqa.

"He must protect his dignity and avoid chiefs job just because he did it at Sundowns doesn't mean he will do it with other teams. If he fails to do it at Chiefs it's another story," says Thato Jake.

"As a concerned local football supporter if Chiefs can give Pitso the budget and complete control of how he wants to condition his team. Give him 3 years minimum, that's the only way Chiefs can return to competitiveness," says Malcolm Mpapa.

"Even if Mourinho came to Chiefs nothing would change. Chiefs needs to start spending if they want to compete with Sundowns," says Samuel Tobokoane.

"The fans of Kaizer Chiefs used to hurt him now their praise the man," says Nathi Mkhize.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have been in fine form in recent months, with the club jumping up to third on the DStv Premiership standings after their 2-1 victory over Golden Arrows over the weekend.

This has been met with some delights by some of the KO readers, who commented on the article: Kimvuidi fires Bucs to third straight victory.

"They will jump to third until we come back from CAF," says Dikonkentso Mayoyo Moloto.

"6 games unbeaten. Collected 16 points out of 18 possible points…not bad," says Masie Dolwana Sombasa.

"Surely they will challenge Sundowns for the league title," says Brown Alicia.

"This is the only team that matters," says Bongani Mgubela.

"It must be wins till the last game. They drew and lost enough. W column must go up," says Luvuyo Kwankwa.

"Keep up the good work guys," says Retshabile Dipopego.

"Pirates is on fire," says Dallas Smangaliso Ramabi.

"So proud of [Fortune] Makaringe," says Uyanda Zulu.
