AmaZulu CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu is "standing on business" overseas, as she visited several iconic clubs in Europe. Here's a look!

The story

It is undeniable that Usuthu have become one of the most marketable clubs in the DStv Premiership, with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit boasting an extensive list of commercial partners, including Mitsubishi Motors, Mazi Asset Management, Thule Sweden, Spar, Grindrod, and Ilanga - just to new a few.

Clearly, someone in the boardroom is doing something right, with the first suspect being none other than the club CEO, who admitted that she was "standing on business" in one of her Instagram posts.

It appears that the AmaZulu brand is set to grow even further, as Zungu recently took European tour, which looked nothing like a leisure visit but rather a business one.

Among her multiple destinations was Villarreal's CF's training ground offices, the Ciudad Deportiva. According to the LALIGA's club's official website, the facility measures 80,000m² of land, containing nine football pitches for the senior side, academy, and women's teams. In addition to having a housing facility for youth players, the venue also accommodates regional and school tournaments.

Another stop Zungu made was in Portugal, where she was seen taking a tour at top-flight sides SC Braga and Sporting CP. The latter club are on track to win the 2023/24 Liga Portugal, as they currently hold a seven-point lead on top of the table.

Ultimately, the whole trip appears to be a valuable learning experience with regards to how to effectively run a club and handle some of its operations.

Zungu has a proven adeptness to learning, as she is comfortably qualified, thanks to her Bachelor of Business Science degree and a Master of Business Administration, as suggested by her bio on Instagram.

Many Usuthu supporters will now be hoping that she will bring home the necessary knowledge and relationships that will uplift the club in further as an institution.

With football having become so project-oriented in the modern areas, one could almost say there's a formula to making a club successful, especially starting from boardroom decision, which Zungu will know all too well about.
