THERE will be no love back for expelled uMkhonto Wesizwe (MK) founder Jabulani Khumalo.

Khumalo was axed after a meeting of the national leadership last week.

He told eNCA that he had not been made aware of his expulsion.

“Until I meet Nxamalala (Zuma’s clan name) and talk about those rumours, there's nothing I can say,” said Khumalo.

He maintained that he was still the MK leader.

But Zuma’s daughter, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, dismissed any possibility of that meeting.

She tweeted: “Just checked President Zuma’s diary, and there is definitely no meeting scheduled with former member of MK, Jabulani Khumalo, tomorrow, and there is definitely no room for love Back…”

Duduzile is close to Zuma and has been to almost all-party addresses by her father, including attending court cases with him.

It's alleged that Khumalo was expelled after he failed to answer questions about the source of funds to buy two new houses and a R2 million car.

In a statement released on Friday evening, 26 April, Khumalo and four others were expelled for “destabilising” the party.

"During a meeting of the National Leadership Core, considering the attempts by external forces to destabilise the MK party, which aims to advance a people's revolution, we decided to expel the following comrades: Jabulani Khumalo, whom President (Jacob) Zuma had asked to register the party on his behalf, Ray Khumalo, Bheki Manzini, Lebo Moepeng, and Rochelle Davidson, also known as Gogo Mahlalentabeni," said MK spokesman Nhlamulo Ndhlela.

According to the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC), MK gave it notice that it has changed its leadership structure and replaced Khumalo with Zuma as its leader.

This may dispel the suggestion that Khumalo can de-register the party.

Comment from Khumalo will be added when received.
