Ntseki provides update on Dolly's impending Kaizer Chiefs return

Head coach Molefi Ntseki has provided a crucial update on the return of Kaizer Chiefs vice-captain Keagan Dolly who has been out of action since the beginning of the season.

The 31-year-old attacker has not featured for Amakhosi in the current campaign as he nurses a torn ACL injury sustained in April last season.

However, Ntseki has revealed Dolly is edging closer to a return.

"Keagan Dolly just played his first 45 minutes in a recent friendly and I think we all know what injury he sustained, so it's not going to be just a quick return into play," Ntseki told journalists.

"I think he is still going back to playing protocols, tactically, physically, but the most important thing is that mentally he is very strong. He looks sharp in terms of his tactical understanding of the game and hopefully in the next week or so he will be available for selection."

Prior to his injury, Dolly was one of Chiefs' most trusted players, contributing six goals and five assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.

Following the international break, Chiefs return to DStv Premiership action with a clash against Royal AM to be played on Friday at FNB Stadium.

Kick-off is at 17:30.
