CLUB INFORMATION

The USA national team has been a pretty competitive unit for the past decade, reaching the quarterfinals of the 2002 World Cup tournament, where they were slightly unlucky to lose to Germany.

They have a decent record in finals, having famously beaten England 1-0 in 1950 and finishing third in the first ever tournament in 1930.

The job for the side now in 2010 is really to kick on and see if they can be a serious contender for the trophy, and having reached the final of the 2009 Confederations Cup, they may just have the confidence to do it.
