CLUB INFORMATION

Formerly part of Yugoslavia, Serbia has only been in its current state since 2006 and will be attending its first World Cup as an independent nation.

They breezed through qualifying and big things are expected of the side in South Africa, where they will be viewed as a potential banana-skin for the more established nations.

Yugoslavia was a fine footballing nations and the Serbs a big part of that, but they will be desperate to forge their own identity, starting in 2010.
