CLUB INFORMATION

Nigeria claimed their place at the 2010 World Cup on a thrilling final day of African qualifying as they beat Kenya 3-2 which, coupled with Tunisia's defeat in Mozambique, was enough to book what had seemed an unlikely spot.

Not quite the powerful side on the mid-1990s, they do have quality in their team, but have yet to gel as a unit under Shaibu Amodu.

When and if that does happen, they will be a formidable unit that is able to marry pace and physicality with no shortage of skill.
