Amodu to meet Technical CommitteeAmodu to meet Technical CommitteePosted: 2009-11-22 19:41 Super Eagles Shuaibu Amodu, just back from the 2010 African Nations Cup Draw in Angola, will on Tuesday lead his technical crew to a meeting with the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja. Amodu, who has for the third time qualified Nigeria for the World Cup, will discuss his Angola 2010 Nations Cup programme with the technical committee after the Eagles were paired with reigning champions Egypt, Mozambique and Benin Republic in Group C of the tournament that takes place January 10-31.Amodu qualified Nigeria for the 2002 World Cup finals in Korea and Japanm but was replaced months to the finals. He also qualified the Supers Eagles for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in 2006, but did not lead the team to the finals in Brazil. Amodu said after the draw at the Talatona Convention Centre in Luanda on Friday that he has designed a programme which he believes will see the Eagles fully prepared for the competition, which will serve as a big test for their World Cup outing in the summer. Nigeria play Egypt on January 12 and then tackle Benin Republic on January 16 in Benguela, before flying to Lubango to take on Mozambique four days later in the group phase. Tuesday´s meeting will also have assistant coaches Daniel Amokachi and Fatai Amoo, as well as goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu in attendance. Colin Udoh

BOSS: 2009-11-22 21:30 i get really frustrated knowing that da NFF are not gettin a technical adviser for this skumm displayd up here. do we hav to wait until we get booted out of nations cup at the group stages or QTR finals for the NFF to decide we need a foreign technical adviser. i am not sayin we sack him but provide him and da country an experienced coach. Ok now da word is spreading that we cant get MANCINI OR HIDDINK, whut happened to MARCO VAN BASTEN, JURGEN KLINNSMAN,GERARD HOULLIER ETC. these guyz hav been tested especially VAN BASTEN AND HOULLIER. If a new technical adviser takes charge with amodu as coach we will b good 2 BANG TEAMS UP. But it looks like NFF r gettin ****Y BCUZ DEY MAN QUALIFIED US AGAINST ALL ODDS. We await u guys to fold wen its 2 late. ajibola: 2009-11-22 21:43 @Nelson u have no right to tell me that my post is getting ridiculous we all have our views u idot and that is mine so dont come around here saying rubbish cuz i see u're on physcologically embattled fellow..........nonsense Leonard: 2009-11-22 22:34 Pls NFF 140mln people cannot be wrong at the same time,or bring an outsider(a non Nigerian) he will say the same----our eagles under Amodu perform far below average yet the team is comprised of quality players, then tell me what's wrong? I'm not talking of technical input this time b/c I believe that even without Coach we should be able beat the likes of Kenya any day if the right players are selected but Amodu's presence is causing more harm as he is tied with the likes of Olofin...,Yakubu,E.T.C. Leave Amodu in this seat and he'll go to the World arena without Martins,Obasi,Taiwo,Ayinlla,Odiah e.t.c for reasons I don't want to guess. Lets be frank, Martins for instance gets 70000pounds a wk. & his Boss(Amodu) recieves $15000 a month(which is his standard) nothing will work. To impact the necessary discipline in the team, the boys require a boss far bigger than them in all aspects! No favouritism,no fear of the players bribbing their way and most of all a coach who knows that his reputation is at stake if he fails(not Vogts). If Hiddink fails there are others!!! eze: 2009-11-22 22:54 @collin udo are you working for amodu? umarfaruk my coment god will bless nigeria n bless our players. wale: 2009-11-22 23:18 dear forumites, please let's respect and rever Amodu. He has done what 'the almighty' Hiddink cannot do. Hiddink failed to take Russia with their stars and good FA to the mundial. I listened to Amodu's interview on BBC today and i was impressed. He seems to know more than people think he knows. people say he cant read matches, but if Amodu cant read a match, cant Fatai Amoo(who i respect alot) read matches? Amokachi and Alloy Agu are more than capable. there's only one thing lacking in Super Eagles, and that is CONFIDENCE. we played France and we easily could have beaten them 3-0. intrepid: 2009-11-23 01:15 @ Wale good job, but why don't you wanna see Yakubu, this guy have been out for long, and his getting back into the game and scored a vital goal for us against Kenya. He is the one of the most experience striker in our team, a natural hit man. Pls for God's sake do not let him be kidnapped. ajibola: 2009-11-23 01:18 Foolsih NELSON OF A PERSON,IDIOT,FOOOL........ taoreed: 2009-11-23 01:32 coach shuibu amodu pls give this two guy a chance wilson oruma and seyi ogunsanya both are stil good player thank u ajibola: 2009-11-23 02:24 hahahahahahahaha wilson oruma???????????????? ajibola: 2009-11-23 02:28 @Taoreed Though wilson oruma still plays regularly for kavala f.c of greece but i wont lie to you he is not the oruma of b4 and therefore cannot deserve a place in this current super eagle lolzzzz........... ajibola: 2009-11-23 02:35 @Taoreed Though wilson oruma still plays regularly for kavala f.c of greece but i wont lie to you he is not the oruma of b4 and therefore cannot deserve a place in this current super eagle lolzzzz........... ken gadaffi: 2009-11-23 02:48 Ajibola, dont follow what jack warner says.... thats simply his opinion, what matters most is Nigeria won the match and qualified. jeff: 2009-11-23 03:32 seems we have two nelsons on this forum with different views but bearing the same name. Frank: 2009-11-23 09:20 @Ajibola: U and Mr Warner are both ridiculous! What does Mr Warner know about football besides checking if earmarked stadiums are in good condition? Secondly, Egypt and it's football authorities are sour losers and are fighting a psychological war. For u to lose confidence based on this psychological thingy says a lot about ur resolve as a person. We know Egypt might not be pushovers but for them to claim we won't pose a great threat to them is laughable no matter what state our football is in. We are ranked 3rd and 22nd in Africa and the world respectively, where's Egypt? Now, in what way is Egypt, who are not coming to the world cup having lost 3 matches,in better stead than Nigeria? Answer that and get over the fact that we have a coach in Amodu. Buchi: 2009-11-23 10:49 Hi guys.....no more war. we are in nations cup and world cup. Lets be positive. Don't let negative minded people distract this forum. They never believed we will be there. Now that we are there. The only reason why Nigeria qualified is that Tunisia lost to Mozambique. If it was not for that Super Eagels would be staying home come 2010. ken gadaffi: 2009-11-23 13:29 @brokenfan if tunisia deserved to go to the world cup instead of Nigeria, why didnt they win Mozambique? Have u thought of that? BishopofUnimaid02/03: 2009-11-23 13:44 I'm not an Amodu fan. I had always preferred Samson Siasia or Sunday Oliseh to Amodu. I don't subscribe to us having a foreign coach. If we must have a foreign coach then it must be a world class coach that must be ready to live in Nigeria and watch our local league. I doubt whether Hiddink or Van Basten or Klinsmann would want to make home in Nigeria just like Cappello in England. If this is not possible then damn the foreign coaches. Nero: 2009-11-23 14:00 Well to all 9ja fans. Congratulations for our qualification and grouping. In on way or the other our view is not a west. Now is time to face the future. We called for no more foreign coach. I still believe that even if we don’t trust Amodu, we have others, but please! Please!! Please!!! This is not the time to make a change of coach. What SE lack is confidence and that is what we should give them. One or two changing’s then charge them to know that nothing les than d cup by Jan 2010 is expected of them. 9ja has invested a lot in Europe and if by 2010 we can not boost of facing the while of Africa and the world with our own coaches, the all our old foreigner base players and current ones has not prove that they learnt anything playing there. Amodu, you do not have enemies, but lovers of the game. And for us, nothing than good 9ja football and winning. If you have this, we praise you, if you fail, we woe you. That is how it goes!!! Frank: 2009-11-23 14:06 @Ajibola: My language is Igbo and it's not as useless as urs, ofemmanu like u. Baba e ati iya e lo mba soro. Ode osi! I have little time for losers like u. Whether u like it or not Amodu is taking the Eagles to both Angola and South Africa. I bet u want Amodu to be sacked so that another idiotic Yoruba coach will reap where he did not sow. I have news for u, it's not gonna happen. Frank: 2009-11-23 14:09 @Brokefan: I see u r really broke overall. If Tunisia were good enough they shouldn't have lost any match just like us. Isn't it clear that we deserve the ticket? danarchy4: 2009-11-23 14:15 @KEN GHADAFFI YOU ARE ADVICING AJIBOLA NOT TO LISTEN TO JACK WANER KINDLY ASK HIM TO LINK US TO HIS NEWS. Charles: 2009-11-23 14:18 @Ajibola, U r the most daft forumite I have ever seen. U r not just a nit-wit but also a moron, non-entity, a battered and weather-beaten yoke of oxen looking for whom to vent his frustration on. Please know that members of this forum are not the leadership of this country that has debased and reduced you to a scoundrel. Frank: 2009-11-23 14:28 @Charles: U r loved. May u live long! 9ja : 2009-11-23 14:41 All this abuse to ourselves....is it neccessary. ken gadaffi: 2009-11-23 15:07 @john from Munich, the egyptian boss is only playing a mind game and its allowed in football, lets wait till Jan 12, luckily they are going to be our first opponent so they had better prepare before they know what hit them. Chris: 2009-11-23 15:26 Why are you pro Amodu trying to rubish Ajibola? As far i am concerned Jack warner statement is correct. I wonder what people like you will gain from not telling the truth. Our football is no longer what it is. danarchy4: 2009-11-23 15:29 NA WAH..O SO PEOPLE STILL HAVE TIME TO DISCUSS ABOUT SEEKING FOR A MESSIAH COACH @ THIS CRUCIAL HOUR EVERY TEAM GOING TO THE NATIONS CUP IS PERFECTING IT'S STRATEGY nelson: 2009-11-23 16:14 @charles,@danarchy4,ken gadaffi you said it all.bravo!!! ken gadaffi: 2009-11-23 16:25 @danarchy, good comments as ever, only if those who are against AMODU will see reasons with you. Mega: 2009-11-23 16:50 @Danarchy@Ken..etc would you mind explaning who and who are stars in the Russian team? mike: 2009-11-23 16:56 Some fools who do not know what technical ability is when they see one think they have the right to judge Amodu who has peoduced results. Amodu is working with what he has. World class coach Berti Vogts went to Ghana with the same eagles and they did not make it far. The fact remains that the eagles play like big men, they do not hustle and lack determination. This attitude is been going on for a while. Football is a simple game,it does not require a brain surgeon to manage it.The players make the game and not the coaches. Mega: 2009-11-23 17:45 who is the star? Ist it Pavyluchenko who has no place at Spurs? Who and who are the stars u guys are talking about? ken gadaffi: 2009-11-23 17:48 I still dont understand why people forget how difficult it is to win a football game afterwards. The perfect way for the Super Eagles is to respond after a disappointing world cup qualifiers is to give great result, that is where you judge a big team and that is what we want them to do in Angola. ken gadaffi: 2009-11-23 17:54 mega,South Korea used Home advantage and not really the hindink factor, if you ever played football with all your fans behind you, you will know what home advantage could do sometimes. Kunle: 2009-11-23 20:30 @ ken gadaffi...... Kunle: 2009-11-23 20:38 @ ken gadaffi.......What you are saying in esssence is that we should just go on a sight seeing to both Angola and SA or better put as mere participants abi? soccabros: 2009-11-23 20:57 Dear Forumites does most of u write for writing sake or are u just biased ? val: 2009-11-24 00:56 @Charlse, it is rather uncivil for you to use such a curse on those who want Amodu sacked, not withstanding how angry you are, am sure you are very well enlightened fellow. There are people who want him sacked, others want him retained while some want to see him helped by a technical adviser in areas where he is obviously lacking knowledge. Victor: 2009-11-24 02:41 During the last African Nations Cup, the sports commentator clearly stated that the top-3 biggest events on our planet were the FIFA World Cup, the Olympics, and the African Nations Cup. This means that these 3 events have more followers and viewers than any other thing on this planet. To many sociologists and cultural experts around the world, football is not just a sport, but rather, a religion. It was even stated in a World Cup documentary just before the 2006 World Cup that football had more followers than the followers of Christianity, Islam, and Hindu put together. Football is not just a game you watch to enjoy or hope that your nation wins one World Cup, but rather, it is a powerful platform on which to increase your economic status and national image in the eyes of the world. Xhuxhu: 2009-11-24 05:53 Xhuxhu Akpos: 2009-11-24 08:56 What technicalities are you guys discussing about hope is not another free money you guys want to share again using some coded language. I know my people they are always making a meeting for no good to our football only to share some money.... PDP God will never leave you guys unpunished Mega: 2009-11-24 16:58 Victor!!!! Oh My GOD!!!!! African Nations cup is one of the 3 biggest events in the world? Copyright 2007 KICKOFF.com | 2009-11-22 19:41
