The Under-19 tournament is scheduled to feature four international teams, Boca Juniors (Argentina), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany), Chelsea (England) and Stabek (Norway) against local opponents.Safa maintain that the organisers (at one stage purported to be the PSL) have yet to submit an application for the staging of the tournament and, until such time as they do, the association cannot grant them permission to stage the tournament. The withdrawal of the City of Cape Town from the event has been confirmed by Santos boss Goolam Allie. “Santos made application through the local football association in Mitchells Plain, where our development team is campaigning, and we were told that Norman Arendse had referred our application to Safa. But to date, we have still not received any response from Safa.” “The PSL has nothing to do with the tournament; they are only assisting us. The tournament is the brain child of Santos and Ajax Cape Town and we wanted the region to get involved." “It is a pity that the City has decided to withdraw from the tournament after they were ready to spent money to make the tournament a success. “This tournament would have done a lot for tourism and development, especially as Santos and Ajax Cape Town are trying their best to focus on the development of football at grassroots level. “This is not first time I have organised an international tournament. I organised Manchester United’s trip three weeks prior to the tournament, but I never went through this kind of strange treatment. “One needs to ask just one question; why are we being refused the chance to host the tournament?” Ajax Cape Town boss John Comitis also took a swipe at Safa vice president Mwelo Nonkonyane in a report published by City Press yesterday for denying them the chance of hosting the Peace Cup in the Mother City next month. Comitis said Nonkonyana has embarrassed himself and other soccer officials during their recent visit to Norway. “He did not only embarrass us but himself too when he told the Norway Football Federation that the tournament would not take place.” Ernest Fakude

These were Parreira's terms before he returned coz he will be on holiday, and that time of the year is the season for her daughter/s to have babies.
