2017 MTN8

Itumeleng Khune graduated through Kaizer Chiefs' youth ranks, making his Premier Soccer League debut against Jomo Cosmos on August 25, 2007.

He went on to establish himself as the club's number one, culminating in his first international cap against Zimbabwe on March 11, 2008.

The Ventersdorp-born keeper solidified his place in the national team, competing at the 2009 Confederations Cup, the 2010 World Cup and the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Khune, who is revered for his shot-stopping and distribution skills, was named Bafana Bafana captain in May 2013, having replaced Jimmy Tau as Amakhosi skipper in October 2011.

The 2012/13 campaign was Khune's best to date, as he was named the PSL's Footballer of the Year for his contribution to Chiefs' League and Nedbank Cup triumphs.
