SuperSport United's Daine Klate reckons Bucs will take it.

PSL stars hand it to Bucs!

PSL stars hand it to Bucs!

Posted: 2009-07-23 14:37

There must be a winner tonight when Kaizer Chiefs lock horns with Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby and most PSL stars who spoke to KickOff.com feel Bucs will walk away with the bragging rights.

The match kicks off at 20:15 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

“I say Pirates have the upper hand, because they beat Chiefs in both League games last season. Maybe psychologically, it could work to Bucs’ advantage” - Daine Klate, SuperSport United left winger.

“Pirates impressed against Man City, but I’m going for Chiefs” – Mark Mayambela, Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder.

“Definitely Pirates… Vladimir Vermezovic is still experimenting and Bucs look a more stable side at the moment” – Fadlu Davids, Maritzburg United striker.

“I say Pirates. They were very impressive in the first game against Man City” – Lefa Tsutsulupa, Moroka Swallows midfielder.

“I’m a Pirates fan, so I go for them” – Sthembiso Ngcobo, Free State Stars striker.

It can go either way… it is a derby after all” – Manuel ‘Tico-Tico’ Bucuane, Jomo Cosmos striker.

I don’t want to ‘hang myself' by predicting it” - Surprise Moriri, Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder.

TTM but you disappoint bra. Whay ask Daine to predict the score instead of asking when he'll be joining the ship. Before or After the TCC

Disco: 2009-07-23 15:03

TTM - do you still think they would have said the same thing if Pirates lost or drew against City? I doubt that. These players are just like us,FANS.

Mjomana's comment is questionable. We all know where his loyalty is. ihi

Question - If Chiefs were to win tonight, what will they say?

Answer1 - Its a pre season, dont read much into it. Chiefs is always good during pre season but fail when the real test comes.

Answer2 - It does not matter, we beat you thrice last season.

Answer3 - its a game of football. you lose some and you win some.

Answer4 - to be continued

Interesting that a picture of Daine Klate is shown together with the headline,''PSL stars hand it to Bucs'' after all the speculation that he could be headed to Bucs.

Heita, bafowethu. Luk, criticism is more than welcome and I respect you guys for that. I tell you what; we try to give you something that's worthwhile to read and sometimes you won't like what we write and that's understandable. I felt that you guys needed something different... not match previews everytime. I'm keeping what you say in mind, though.

Mlu: even if he asked him that, I don't think he would give an honest answer,,,have you seen sum of the interviews...they have a right too, not to answer any question , also a right to lie...

why u the only guy who always respend if u r really Tiyani wa ka Mabasa? hehehe

Mookamedi: 2009-07-23 15:47

hehehe!!!The game, sometimes if negative things are said about you..its best to deal with them by staying positive and commenting in a meaningful way,but your response is such that even those hu regarded you highly or respected u have lost it completely.u just showed them what a moron u're!!!

Sello: 2009-07-23 15:49

@ mookamedi
I normally don't respond to retards but in your case I'll make an exception. Here's an extract of your statementbut "Pierats looks Good on paper..it simply means that Pierats favourite go walk away with it."

This means u r drawing conclusions based on Pirates being good on paper ****** fool!!

TTM: 2009-07-23 15:51

Heita, Prof. Mina I respond, because you guys know the game and when I go wrong, I learn from you guys, because at least I see the reaction from the readers whether they liked the report or not. I also want to ask you guys a question; say the headline was 'PSL STARS HAND IT TO CHIEFS', were you guys going to like the report or not? What I have seen from some readers is that if it is a negative report about Chiefs, then Chiefs readers will call the writer names and stuff. If it is positive, no-one complains. The same goes for Bucs and Brazilians fans... do you guys then like reports that are positive about your specific teams? Prof, you can e-mail me on tiyani.mabasa@touchline.co.za and let's talk futball, guys. Please respond to my question.

Proffesor: 2009-07-23 15:51

The Game: pls name Sundowns B team pls???

mandla: 2009-07-23 15:53

There's something about Chiefs i mean they are the most supported team in the country, the most succesful team la Mzansi,All Psl players dream to play for them,oh yah they are the only team that gets to play against all 15(psl) teams week in week out even during Preseason.I wonder WHY ?

Proffesor: 2009-07-23 16:02

Dankie Ngiyabonga TTM – well as a Young Stars fan (note), but forced by many readers here to be and called a Chiefs fan is not kul at all. Look even Bucs faithfuls are after me (as the fan) like they want Daine Klale to join the Ghost ship.

But I see what U mean. Me as a neural observe in the forum I think u r right… fans will protect their Teams like I will protect Young Stars. It’s difficult to read negative things about your beloved team. Me that’s why I write freely without calling the editor or writer names hehehe maybe I did it a couple of times esp in the Bafana Bafana stroes… that was for the Coach and technical team.

Mhlengi: 2009-07-23 16:10

My head on the block, Chiefs win.

mandla: 2009-07-23 16:10

@Tiyani
I dont have a problem with the Headline, whichever way you would have phrased it,It was always going to be debatable.Even the great statesman Madiba once said people will always find a spot in what u assume to be of good gesture,so my take is write what you feel is right for your customers which in this case it's us regardless of what others will say.Mina i say you are neutral as they come which is what journos should be!

PRINCE: 2009-07-23 16:13

Thanx Prof & Mindlos for your response. I appreciate the fact that somebody never stops learning in this game and I appreciate all the criticism from you bafowethu, because I learn from it. If you are not happy with a certain report, continue to say so. I'm very happy to read your comments, whether positive or negative. I truly value what you guys got to say and it will improve the reports I provide you guys daily.

Big Dude: 2009-07-23 16:17

So Proff what you are saying is that this window period is not only for players. Teams want to sign supporters as well. Nice times indeed.

TTM I really loved the article. It is nice to hear what players themselves are thinking

Disco: 2009-07-23 16:17

TTM – I am personally not worried about what the Headlines say. I must admit thought that they aim to draw attention like my beautiful Queen does, but the FACT of the matter is I expect trustworthy reports/articles that are not biased whatsoever. Besides Headlines are there to draw attention, not to be controversial, unless if it’s Politics.

I know it’s not always the case since you guys also have a right to a team of your choice, but as they simply say, DON’T MIX BUSINESS WITH PLEASURE, therefore, I don’t expect you to be biased at all.

I remain

The Game: 2009-07-23 16:19

Proffessor : 2009-07-23 15:51

Professor: a 'B' team will include all the players who are still on trials (Pirates i.e Mongala, Reason Chiloane,,,coach will still have to have a closer look at them,,,Lucky who's contract is still not renewed,,,Downs will include players like o Dendele, few guys from (mali, ghana and Malawi, Ncaca, Scara, and Khanye would be part of that team too,,,,if you could recall in the Charity Cup previous we used to see these kinda players...but for example that keeper from Carara Kicks from Chiefs has signed,,,brothers,,,I know you like acting stupid...I bet my life...you are not...have to look at things with sober minds..that's it....Mookamedi: DON'T NEED YOUR RESPECT,BROER...OR YOUR APPROVAL...I'M happy with my contribution...when I read my comments....I say 'what the hell do you get those views from'...I'M JUS LOVING IT !!!

Sbu and Mindlos – I must agree with you bafethu. If you read the article Bucs stars back for Derby, then you’ll see how even Bucs is scared of Chiefs. It’s clear that the wants to rest these boys but the Bucs faithful don’t have confidence in the team that beat City. They still believe that Khosi might steal the show tonight.
